“What can I say… Arbor bothy is just a dream, as soon as I entered the bothy I was in love! The place was absolutely spotless and the smell was amazing. We had such an amazing/relaxing weekend here. The kitchen was very well equipped and the fresh coffee was a delight. The bed was also super comfortable. You can really see the love and hard work that has been put into making this bothy such a special place. I really loved all the different plants and Graham’s photography and the log burning stove. Waking up and watching the very active bird feeder was super special! We even saw a woodpecker. Oh and the outdoor hammocks were perfect for relaxing outside in the evening. We really feel that we couldn’t have found a more perfect place for our relaxing weekend while exploring the Cairngorms. The location was perfect! We will absolutely be returning to this little gem in the future. I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough.”

“The Arbor Bothy completed captured us, it is stunning, every detail of it has been well thought through with care and attention from the placement of the skylights to the books on the bookcase. It is stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing break there and would come back in an instant. Book it, you will not be disappointed, it is stunning in a stunning location and we can't say enough good things about it other than we want to now build one for ourselves! “Wonderful bothy built and run by a wonderful couple! And the gallery has great examples of both Graham's photographs and Amy's jewellery, which are well presented and very reasonably priced. The bothy is brand new and has been built and finished to a very high standard. Graham and Amy have clearly spent a lot of time thinking about what a visitor would need and they've certainly thought of everything we could think of, even having spare phone charging cables! The bothy was well set up both inside and out, with a nice seating area outside to watch the birds on the feeders and, indeed, a red squirrel! It's the first red I've ever seen in the wild and he was a welcome visitor on two mornings!

Amy was really helpful with our initial booking (which ended up being very late notice) and then Graham made us feel very welcome when we arrived. They were very willing to talk to discuss the area and their insights and experiences, which was a great boon. Nethy Bridge is a lovely village, with a great cafe and farm shop. It's also brilliantly placed for walking in the Cairngorms and also for the Loch Ness area, if you're heading out that way. We brought a couple of Graham's (excellent) photos, one of which he printed fresh for us. When it came out the printer apparently there was some smudging on one corner. I couldn't see it at all and said it was fine but Graham wasn't having it and insisted on printing another one. That's how much professional perfectionism he has and that he has applied to both his photography and to the bothy. Both Graham and Amy are clearly very dedicated to their art and it shows through in the quality of the finished pieces which are on display in the gallery.

All in all, I can't recommend them highly enough and we are already planning a visit next year!”
